A loss in my family…Please take care of your health because…

Degenerative Diseases go further than just Alzheimers

Unfortunately, my uncle that just passed didn’t live to appear the age of the fella above. Happy looking guy though right? 🙂

This post isn’t supposed to sympathetic or mood-drowning; rather I’d like to create awareness of how important it is to make healthy choices every day.

My uncle was just 65 today when he passed away; when most people plan to retire and spend the rest of their days enjoying life’s gifts and memories. Needless to say, he could’ve had many more great years ahead of him if he’d taken care of his health from an earlier age.

You see, what many people don’t know is that every small problem or habit we neglect involving our health, adds up to a bigger issue. In my uncles case, he had multiple issues with Liver Failure, as well as other health complications, greatly resulting from the lifestyle he lived.

Many people aren’t aware that the worlds most destructive diseases are not caused by viruses, illness, and germs. They are from degenerative diseases, which are direct results from lifestyle habits and neglect, which damages our cells.

We don’t just start getting sick because we get older, we often get sick because of the rolling impact of the habits we’re living.

Solution: Proper nutrition, physical fitness, and living healthier lifestyles can improve the quality of life we live and lessen the risk of degenerative diseases.

What are the most common degenerative diseases?

1. Heart Disease
2. Cancer
3. Stroke
4. Diabetes
5. Osteoporosis
6. Arthritis
7. Alzheimer
8. Obesity

These are issues worldwide and the numbers are growing! Why? Because most things that are easy to do are also easy not to do.

If an apple a day absolutely kept the doctor away, would you decide to eat an apple? Seems easy right? Well it’s also easy not to do because we’re “too busy to go to the store,” or we convince ourselves that “just one apple wont do anything.”

Well friends, that’s the thinking that gets people killed. Is your ego worth it? What’s the worst that can happen by you eating healthier, even if it’s just one healthier meal a day?
* The key is to start small. Just decide to make an improvement and do it…one step at a time.

After you decide, you no longer have to make an effort to stop eating unhealthy because you’re not that kind of person anymore. When you decide to exercise a few times a week, and control your mindset to be positive…you will begin to notice improvements in your every day life and your vitality will be incredible.
*When you decide, it’s easier to stay on track because you chose not to be the unhealthy type anymore. You chose to live a more powerful life!

It’s never too late to start. Whether you think you can or can’t improve your health, you’re right.

I hope you decide to take your health a little more seriously. After all, your body is the only thing carrying you around, treat it right.
